You know how some cis people find it really hard to comprehend the existance of trans* people, and get their head around it?
Is it just me, or am I the only trans* person who does this with cis people?
Like. How weird must it be to not be thinking about gender/pronouns/politics/transition everyday, and not notice every use of gendered language used towards you, and just to fit in like that. Like the stuff which can be life-or-death to us, they don’t even need to think about.
I know this sounds really bitter/resentful, but I don’t mean it like that. I mean just… Does not compute. How.

I mean. I’m cis and I think about this ALL the time. As in literally all the time.
The difference is that I’m not oppressed because of my gender and it’s not life or death for me (at least not often…but that’s getting into the realm of gender expression).
then again maybe I’m just not very good at being cis? idfk.
*note* not offended (why would i be? i wouldn’t even have the right to be) just offering a personal perspective that is not at all meant to be indicative of all cis experience, nor am i trying to defend my gender or anything cause…that’s just not even like…wtf.
